Title

The first manuscript contains the entirety of the introduction (marked andante sostenuto) for orchestra, ending after the first five measures of the section marked Allegro. The second manuscript contains nearly the entirety of the Allegro, for 2 violins, viola, and double bass, with cues for other instruments.

Two holograph manuscripts in black ink of various sections of Clementi's Overture in D major. Sections crossed out or pasted over by composer. Pages cut or torn into irregular shapes, with some pasted additions extending the size of the manuscript when unfolded.
The Andante sostenuto section was used by Pietro Spada as the opening section in his reconstruction of Clementi's 3rd symphony.
