Note
"It all started like this: wandering around the city of São Paulo, I stumbled upon a single small flower pot, unpretentiously placed on the concrete sidewalk. I felt a pang of pity, and took a picture. I came accross other objects in unexpected settings thet made me laugh and sigh, that surprised and touched me. I then realized that, combined with a caption, the photo took on a new meaning. So, I decided to post on Instagram. Over the course of ten years, every Satuday, I roamed the city accompanied by Carlos, my loyal squire in these pilgrimages. Each week, we ventured further towards the outskirts of the city. Once that cycle came to an end, I decided to publish this extensive collection of images in a book. While organizing them, pairing them up to create verso and recto pages, I discovered yet another possible relationship between them, a new layer of interpretation. Bringing two or three things together and arranging between them in a certain way is the one thing I know to do in life... at least I think so"--Page 7.
