Summary

"The work addresses the complex evolution of serial forms on a historical and theoretical level, interpreting the phenomenon as one of the fundamental bases of the entire modern Western culture. The first volume, edited by Giovanni Ragone and Fabio Tarzia, reconstructs the archaeology and the first mainstream of serial narration; the second, edited by Sergio Brancato, Stefano Cristante and Emiliano Ilardi, is dedicated to the twentieth century and contemporaneity; the third, edited by Giovanni Boccia Artieri and Giovanni Fiorentino, investigates the serial dimension in today's myths: from fiction and advertising to music and artistic languages, from architecture to fashion and design"--Provided by publisher.
