Summary

Compilation film consists of views of TR engaging in a variety of activities: 1) TR stands in open car and tips his hat to crowd; he walks with a group of men, one of whom wears a pennant which says Oklahoma; TR again in open automobile; film probably taken ca. 1917-1918; 2) TR speaks at the opening of the fourth Liberty Loan campaign in Oriole Park, Baltimore, Md. on Sept. 28, 1918; people behind him on platform are Dr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Preston and Emerson C. Harrington, Governor of Maryland; 3) TR alights from automobile accompanied by a group of men, probably during his Jan. 20-21, 1916 visit to Philadelphia; one of the men is Edwin A. Van Valkenburg, editor of the Philadelphia North American; TR shakes Van Valkenburg's hand, then enters a house; 4) on Oyster Bay, TR rows alone away from shore; in second sequence his son Archie helps TR alight and, with another unidentified boy, secures the boat; 5) TR sits in a chair on the lawn of Sagamore Hill, probably in 1918; 6) on Sep. 8, 1917, TR addresses suffragists at Sagamore Hill; 7) TR vigorously speaks, probably during WWI; 8) wearing a kerchief, TR delivers an address, probably in the West during his 1912 Progressive campaign; 9) TR at his desk at the Metropolitan magazine with a man who is possibly Carl Hovey, the magazine's editor; 10) TR delivers a Memorial Day address at Mineola, N.Y. in 1917; 11) additional footage of TR with suffragists; 12) TR reads a speech to a delegation of volunteer workers for the third Liberty Loan, at Sagamore Hill, Apr. 2, 1918; as an aid gives him names, TR greets members of the group; 13) TR speaks from a decorated stand in Fargo, N.D. during his 1912 Progressive campaign.
